Company Description

David H. Bader, CMCA, AMS, B.A., established D.H. Bader Management Services in 1991 after seven years of establishing and managing community associations for a local development firm. The company's office is conveniently located in Laurel, Maryland, midway between Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

In addition to managing established homeowner associations, condominium associations, and office condominiums, the firm also provides consulting services for new communities and developer clients by setting up and managing new communities.

D.H. Bader Management Services and its staff are active members of the Community Associations Institute, with David Bader having served two terms on both the Chesapeake Region Chapter and the Washington Metropolitan Chapters, and several committees of the local and National Chapter.

David H. Bader, CMCA®, AMS®, B.A.: President and Owner

David has been involved in Community Association Management since 1985, beginning his career with a local development firm establishing and managing community associations and creating a property management division.  In 1991, he established D. H. Bader Management Services, Inc., and has since guided the business to a position of local leadership, in part by recruiting the best staff in the industry. A 1982 graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, (B.A. Urban Planning), David resides in Columbia, Maryland with his wife and three children.  He has served on the Board of Directors of both the Washington Metropolitan Chapter and the Chesapeake Region Chapter of the Community Association Institute; and is an avid Terps, Orioles, and Capitals fan.

Anja Taylor, CMCA®, AMS®, Director of Operations/Community Association Manager

Anja has been with D.H. Bader Management services since 2001. She has over 24 years of experience as a community management professional. Anja currently assists the President of the company with the company operations and manages a portfolio of community associations. Anja is also a member of the Community Associations Institute and has
earned the designations of Certified Manager of Community Association (CMCA®) and Association Management Specialist (AMS®). She and her husband have their home in Bowie, MD. She also applies her administrative and organizational skills by serving as Secretary and Newsletter Editor to the MD-DC-VA Historic Military Vehicle Club.

John E. Sheehy, CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM®: Director of Property Management

John has more than 24 years of experience in property management and has been a member of the D.H. Bader Management team since 2000. He attended the University of Maryland where he earned a degree in Business Administration. John is an active member of the Community Associations Institute where his volunteer efforts were rewarded by receiving the Chesapeake Region Chapter’s Rising Star Award in 2007, serves on the Golf Committee, and has earned his Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM®) designation.  John was born in Washington, D.C. and now resides in Annapolis, MD with his wife, daughter, and son. 

Regina (Gina) Morris, B.S.: Director of Financial Management, CMCA®

Gina has been a member of the D.H. Bader Management team since November 1998.  She has over 15 years of experience in the Financial Management of Homeowners Associations, Condominiums, and Real Estate Development. Gina is a member of the Community Associations Institute, and has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma. Gina resides in Bowie, MD with her husband. She enjoys golfing and her grandchildren.

David Vaughn, AICP®, CMCA®, AMS®, M.A.: Community Association Manager

David joined the D. H. Bader Management Services team in 2000, bringing 12 years of experience in community planning with the City of Laurel, MD, Department of Community Planning, and Business Services. David has an exceptional knowledge of the physical and social characteristics of community design and function. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the association where he lived for eight years before taking over management responsibilities. David is an active member of the Community Associations Institute earning the Association Management Specialist (AMS®) designation. He earned a Master’s Degree in 1992 from the University of Maryland in Community Planning. He has lived in the Baltimore /Washington area for over forty years and currently resides in the Catonsville, MD area with his wife and three children. David spends his personal time participating in his children’s activities, enjoying the outdoors, and working around the home. 


Doug Downs:
 Community Association Manager

Doug has over 28 years of Management and Customer Service experience with Giant Food. Doug has served on the Board of his homeowners association for close to ten (10) years, including the role of President. His knowledge and understanding of Association documents and Maryland HOA law is second to none. While this is a new career path for Doug, he has become an active member of CAI, and has begun working on his Certified Manager of Community Association (CMCA®) and Association Management Specialist (AMS®) designations. Doug is a Maryland native who resides in Laurel (Howard County) with his wife and young son.
